Infused water
After a couple of days outside in this hot valley heat I find myself very dehydrated! Of course, that's what comes with being outside in the sun all day (duh!). So instead of drinking plain boring water I thought why not try something fun to add some flavor. I've always been a fan of infused water but never took the time to actually make it myself. The fun thing about infusing is you can be creative and put whatever you want in your water. It's super easy and doesn't take long!
The hardest part for me is deciding what ingredients to put in my water. There are so many possibilities: strawberries, cucumbers, lemon, ginger, mint, oranges, lime, watermelon, grapefruit, chia seeds, etc! So many choices you can chose from, be creative!
I've seen so many different combinations on Pinterest but my favorite is:
- 1 lemon - 1 cucumber
- A handful of mint leaves
It's super refreshing and it actually helps clear my skin of blemishes! (that's a major plus!)
Once you decide what ingredients you want to use find a container or pitcher to make your water in. I found this tea jar at Ralph's for under $5 with adorable sunflowers around it (my favorite flower). I had to buy it!
Add your ingredients to the water and let it chill for a few hours. Now you're ready to enjoy your cold tasty drink! Drinking water is so important for your health. I know it can get boring at times but infusing makes water taste so much better! Stay hydrated in this summer heat!
